Look at us!!

I love Wondertime!!

Each Friday the Kiwi Team celebrates the Wonder Way of Learning through Wondertime. The children are involved in activities such as, construction, painting, puzzles, waterplay, cooking, dress ups and much more. Every now and then we go on a Wonder Walk – remember when it snowed? We set off round the block and looked at all the houses with snow in their front yards and the occasional snowman. Here are photos from our last Wonder Walk to Milverton Park. On the way, we saw cats preening themselves in the sun, a very interesting bird house and the new buds on the trees. We had morning tea at the park and then made our way back to school. The children are always inspired by the things that they see and each new experience brings with it a new batch of “I wonder” questions!

Maths Learning

Our favourite maths lesson involves playing maths games. Matching numbered bears to numbered beehives, using dice to count frogs for our lily pads and playing darts and counting the score.

Does this bear match this beehive?

Roll the dice and choose that number of frogs for your lily pad.

I am aiming for 10 points!!
